The air battles of World War II come to PSP.
Some themes are so broken that we need a quality game to draw public attention. One of these is the second world war, this time try to land on the PlayStation Portable by a title focused on the aerial battles of the conflict. But is it possible for a good game of this genre on the platform?

The controls are simple, X to shoot the gun, triangle and square for the missiles to bombs. You can choose the side that will defend, with four air forces available: the United States, the English, German and Soviet. Since then, there are campaigns that lead the player through missions with different objectives.

Since destroying enemy planes to destroy buildings, you must perform the most varied tasks. However, here is an interesting feature. To fail a mission, an explanation for the result is unsatisfactory and the campaign continues – the game does not require the stage to play again until the player is successful.

However, despite the simplicity of controls, the variety of goals and well established history, with regard to gameplay in the game itself leaves much to be desired. The official site says the game has easy controls. Perhaps the developers have confused the adjectives “simple” and “easy”, because it sure is not “easy” to control the plane – much less look.

Being realistic to the point of not having a shot on target to halt and send missiles persecutors – something obvious in view of the scenario which is the title – the game makes the air combats become somewhat complicated. The PSP’s screen is small, even smaller pieces of interface makes the thing even more difficult. Considering the fact that ammunition is not wasted – it is limited – is not easy down enemy planes.

People who worked in graphics for the game should have spent some time recreating the planes of the season – at the expense of other elements such as scenario. The objectives are not clear in visual and environment in general is quite dotterel. The visual elements of the interface – not to the displays that appear on the screen all the time, as the radar – are very small, even for a game on Sony’s portable.

The soundtrack does not look like anything with a traditional game of the second war, which usually focuses on marches bleak and disturbing. This title is a lively beat predominant both in the menus when the phases, which is somewhat strange.

But not mention the strong point worked by producers. The multiplayer, which allows the player into battle with up to eight other people. Although we have not tested the game, this promises to be one of the main characteristics of Air Conflicts. This, coupled to a system – promised by the developers – the ranking, it should make the whole experience more interesting.
